Aside from residential, I think restaurant design is a very close second in terms of most inspiring interiors I look for (want to spend hours in). Gjelina in Venice has a rustic feel with that touch of grandiosity. I would imagine if the home retail chain, Restoration Hardware were to have an eatery, it would look something like this.

Meet Blair of Atlantic-Pacific, she's got mad skillz in layering. Hats off to her for always making every outfit unique, fresh, eclectic, glamorous and never costume-y as I can easily see that happening with all the mixing and matching on top of the layerings and accessorizing that she does (it can get a little ridiculous right?) but I don't see that at all. Everything looks polished and thoughtful. I love clothes, reason being that I see it so much as a creative outlet. It's a foam of self expression and the way you dress should say something about yourself.

exquisite table setting

This had me daydreaming about what I would GIVE to have dinner at this table. Hydrangeas are one of my faves and this sculptural centerpiece is more like a work of art. TO DIE FOR!!!....And you simply can't go wrong with clear louie ghost chairs. I'm still drooling (and back to daydreaming).

Happy Friday!! What are your weekend plans? We (as in family and I) are having a birthday bash for my Grandpa, although he's not aware of this yet. He'll just notice that we'll have lots and LOTS of people over and he might ponder why but he may also forget that it's his birthday until we do the whole cake thing...either way, we're are celebrating this man's 86th year (wowza). Happy Birfday Grandpa!

washi tape

After discovering these washi tapes, I don't think I can go back to regular Scotch tape for my gift wrapping/packaging. I just got a set of 4 and can't wait till they arrive. I can think of so many different ways to use them.
