Wishing you all a lovely 4th of July weekend. Hope you'll be out soaking in the summer sun (don't forget the sun block) and enjoying some delicious eating. Whatever you'll be having, be sure to leave room for dessert! Here's a great dessert flag idea and an easy peasy DIY project for you. Now your dessert can look as good as it taste.

happy friday + pretty things
I remember seeing this suede shoe for the first time over at {this is glamorous} and I immediately filed it away and it still haunts me up till this day as to how perfect they are. If I were to own only one pair of shoe, I think this would it. I know, not practical right? But pretty things does that to you. The thing is that I can not find a source as to where it came from (such a sad story). Speaking of pretty things, I just joined Pinterest and already I'm like totally addicted. I couldn't fall asleep yesterday (might be due to the excess amount of tea i had) so I decided to look through all the beautiful images that were pinned.
Happy Friday!! (and that's my happy ending).

taigon
Taigan is a new to me online shopping website that I instantly took a liking to. They have a well curated collection of beautiful clothing, accessories, beauty products, jewelry, gourmet food, and much more that you'll just have to check out for yourself. It does seem like it's for the discerning shopper as their stuff are of high end quality with a price to match but you get what you pay for right and I'm sure everything it's worth every penny. Some of my favorites that I spotted there...

currently lovin': tj's french macarons
I got these macarons at Trader Joe's and it was just divine, best paired with hot tea (yumm).
I have always had this fascination with French macarons and had the notion that they could only be made to taste/look great when made by a pastry chef (preferably from France). Therefore, I always bought them until I found this how to instruction from Here Comes the Sun. She offers a step by step guide accompanied by pictures (pictures always helps). And to my surprise, it actually looks simple and doable.

pretty party
Friday is here and it came fast (no complaints here) and it's Father's Day weekend. I haven't checked the weather but I'm crossing my fingers that there will be some sun out as my family is planning to go to a lake for some BBQ per my step dad's request. I think there should be a Daughter's Day so that I can request that we have a pretty tea party in an all white space and everyone attending must wear pretty pastels...

studio space
How awesome is this work space...haven't seen one quite like it. You must be a minimalist to work in an environment like that, don't ya think?

gjelina
Aside from residential, I think restaurant design is a very close second in terms of most inspiring interiors I look for (want to spend hours in). Gjelina in Venice has a rustic feel with that touch of grandiosity. I would imagine if the home retail chain, Restoration Hardware were to have an eatery, it would look something like this.

quote
This quote really resonated in me since design is always been something I find subjective but what can be critiqued on an objective level is the functionality given that it does function in one way or another. I believe this is also how art differs from design. Well said.

blog lovin'
Meet Blair of Atlantic-Pacific, she's got mad skillz in layering. Hats off to her for always making every outfit unique, fresh, eclectic, glamorous and never costume-y as I can easily see that happening with all the mixing and matching on top of the layerings and accessorizing that she does (it can get a little ridiculous right?) but I don't see that at all. Everything looks polished and thoughtful. I love clothes, reason being that I see it so much as a creative outlet. It's a foam of self expression and the way you dress should say something about yourself.
