Oprah Finale
Happy Friday everyone!
Sorry for the lack of posts this week but my laptop crashed and I'm in the mist of getting a new one. I'm both happy and sad about that. I had my laptop for 6 years and that probably 60 years in comp. age so it was only a matter of time. Anyways, moving on to more bigger things, did you get a chance to watch the Oprah Show finale? I missed it (I know, shame on me) but I will definitely find a way to do so this weekend. It's a must, it's like the end of an era. Oprah is such an inspiration and those who watch her is my kind of people! Once I find out you watch Oprah, I automatically want to be your friend. She's larger than life and is the epitome of greatness. So here's to you, Oprah and your future endeavors, I will always be a fan.

interiors :: perfectly mismatched
I spotted this room over at seesaw design and thought that it was so perfectly mismatched and adorable. I wouldn't change a thing about it, they look like rooms with a personality; like it belongs to someone and not just anyone. I want to assume owner of the house designed the space as the details of the rooms has a lot of personal touches.
Happy Friday (the 13th)!

my father's daugther
I'm a Gwyneth Paltrow fan and a GOOP follower. I really do enjoy reading her newsletters and her tidbits on places to eat, things to see and just simple everyday advice. She's super talented, and I'm almost certain that she a fantastic wife/mother and she remind me of a younger version of Martha Stewart. Plus the girl can sing! And now she can add book author/cook to her never ending resume. Her book, My Father's Daugther is going on my want list. Her dinner parties must be spectacular (I'm just sayin') :).

Did you all enjoy your weekend. We (family and I) went to the lake for a bbq, it was beautiful and so peaceful as there was no one there. I guess everyone goes out to eat on Mother's Day. Anyways I came home to watch The Voice, which I am totally addicted to right now...and ended the day watching 500 Days of Summer. I must be the only person who haven't seen it yet but my sister insisted that I watch it because she figured it was my kind of movie. I have to say that I did enjoy it a lot as it felt realistic.

happy mother's day weekend + succulent LOVE
Happy Mother's Day!! What are you getting your lovely mom? Or if you're like me, it's still a question mark. I feel flowers are so expected and becomes rather boring year after year but I'm sure my mom begs to differ. She LOVES getting flowers and I don't blame her, they're gorgeous and brightens up your day and makes you feel all special because someone loves you. Flowers are probably the one thing I would love to get all year round but they only last for so long and they can be pretty pricey. So here's an alternative..succulents. I found these beauties from Succulent LOVE. Kelly's (the designer) shop is curated with some of the most dreamiest arrangement of succulents I've seen thus far. You must check it out. Too bad I didn't discover this sooner :( but no worries, I found her blog which gives a tutorial of how you can make these yourself. Crafting a gift yourself definitely add a sentimental value, a win-win in this case, plus they'll last for.like.ever.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

DIY: drink parasols
I've been in search of some doilies for a craft project and stumbled upon tis DIY drink parasols made from doilies! How cute are those, you can download the instructions from Papermash using either their doilies which I think are awesome because they're pink and not the generic white one you find most places but any doilies will do (along with some basic craft supplies). A fun and easy project that doesn't require much time. Also perfect for spring don't ya think? Time to whip up fruity drink.

rolling greens
I knew of the Rolling Greens in Culver City but I wasn't aware of their location in Hollywood near The Grove. I was at The Grove the Framers Market this Friday and couldn't past up the opportunity to see their wonderful offerings. Such cuteness scattered all over the shop.
