happy friday + happy easter
Wishing everyone a Hapy Friday and a wonderful Easter weekend. I'll be spending my Friday trying to print out some invites before the weekend takes over. The invites are for an Engineer's gala that I shared earlier this week, the clients loved it and I loved that they loved it. Here's a cute Easter egg craft idea. Head on over to not martha for the full tutorial.

honest fare blog
I instantly fell in love with honest fare right when I saw it. Love the layout, love the simplcity, and LOVE the photos of all the yummies....this is what I call food porn my friends. I don't consider myself a cook by any means (in fact I hardly ever cook) but these beautiful images of food is making me entertain the thought of making something.

arcucci trade
I'm totally in love with this cup tray along with the cup and maracron! If only I can find cafe that served me my lattes and sweets like this. I'm BIG on food presentation, as they say "you eat with your eyes," and I seriously think I can convince my brain to love anything that looks good. I don't know much about it being that I found it on HELLODESIGN (a website written in Italian), the most I got is that it's from Arcucci Trade.

I just designed some invites for Engineers without Borders who's hosting a gala this May to raise a awareness of know they are and what they do. Here are 3 with slight variations which may or may not be the final. The card is meant to read front and back.

asos tights
Tights are great, they add pazazz to any short or skirt that seems rather plain or ordinary. Asos carries an abundance of tights of all colors, style, textures and lengths that I love. Here are some of my faves, great when your in need of dressing to impress or just dressing for fun.

superfine bakery
Some exquite cake creations by Superfine Bakery. They're a custom, made to order bakery here in L.A. I especially love the look of these cakes below. I'm eyeing that first one that has macarons, not only does it have macarons (which I love) but the overall look is simple and beautiful; and the repetition and symmetry gives it an architectal appeal.

confetti systems + birthday
How you all seen these Confetti System garlands? I've been seeing them everywhere and I just love how it gives a festive and whimsy touch to any room or event. It also screams "let's have a party!" And I'm always looking for unique party decor. Speaking of which, it's also my little sister's birthday today so I'd like to give her a big birthday shout out (she's turning 23).

color inspired: orange
I love orange, it's a great color but it's not often the most used color for a room. Here are 2 orange inspired spaces that I find fresh and inviting.
It's quite amazing what paint can do to a room. For example this room below, if all white I might think it looks too minimal and uninteresting. But just having that bright tangerine paint totally livens up the space and gave it warmth. Oh the wonders of paint.

This chair is just so cute, one day I'm going to reholster a chair and I can only hope it will look this adorable.

pop up store: richard chai
This is a temporary retail store for designer Richard Chai that's housed in a shipping container (I know, shipping containers never looked so good), located under the High Line in NYC. I love this project because this is what happens when the world of fashion, design, and architecture collide....pure maddness, in a good way of course. I'm a little late on the news being that it took place last year and is no longer up. But when I saw it, I was ooh'ing and ahh'ing so much that I couldn't help but post it. This is why I need to subscibe to Dwell again because I miss out on such thing (sorry I digress). The material is foam and it was sculpted to look like glaciers, creatively thought up by the architecture firm Snarkitecture. You got to their site to check out all of images here.
