I love trying new restaurants, esp. ones with a great interior (can you blame me?) In fact I save all my pennies just to dine in such places. Comme Ca is just one of those place where you feel instantly sophisticated and chic once you walk in. A modern French bistro with a cute Parisian inspired decor to match, this place is just lovely.

I'm lusting over all the wonderful goodies at emersonade. They're all too cute, it's probaly a good thing that I don't have an unlimited clothing budget, I would probably look like a walking advertising for them which might not neccesarily be a bad thing...

spotted: verdant bread bin

I spotted this super cute bread bin at Anthropologie and I think it makes for a wonderful table top item for the kitchen. The ornate leaves are just beautiful. Plus the top doubles as a cutting board, genius!

rue magazine

Have you all checked out Rue Magazine? It's an online magazine dedicated to all things beautiful, especially interiors. There's a lot of eye candy up in there so be sure to take a looksy. I know looking at these online magazines aren't the same like having a tangible material in hand but I'm sure there's A LOT  of work and love that was put in and it shows! This is their latest issue, I like how it doesn't look like your typical interior/decor magazine. Take a peek at what it's like behind the scene here. They're having way too much fun for work (haha). I've been a little (a lot) obsessed over Robyn's "Dancing on my own". The beat is totally 80's and it so catchy even though it's about a sucky situation. She sings it with so much anger and passion..loves it. She's also Swedish so that makes her cool right? well at least to me. Listen to it here. feeling better + for japan with love

I came down with a cold this past week so please excuse my absence. It was awful, one of the worse I've had but so glad I'm on my way to recovery.  On to bigger issues...it's been over a week since the tragic Japan earthquake/tsunami incidence but seeing images is still very shocking and hard to take in. I have found it pretty hard to find/blog about pretty things when it seem rather insignificant. But I found that it's ok to have a time of silence so self-reflect on the things we do have; a home, family and love.

japan, my thoughts and prayers goes out to you

It seems so frivolous to be blogging after seeing what is happening in Japan. The images are just horrific, can you imagine being in a situation like that? My thoughts are with those in Japan and may this be a reminder for us to hold our loved ones a little closer.

Cherry blossoms always reminds me of Japan, they're so beautiful and they're in full bloom in my yard.

my sweet and saucy

Is this not the most loveliest cake ever...As you know, I'm a big fan of flowers, big flowers. They look twice as nice on a cake.
