autoban :: the house cafe
The House Cafe, designed by the architecure/design firm, Autoban is one pretty awesome space. I love their use of the natural, earthy tones. Located in a mall in Istanbul, the intention was to have the space blend in with it's surroundings. The use of materials with furniture selections makes it feels modern yet old world at the same time. Places like this always has me wanderlusting (whats new?). Do check out Autoban's site as they do have great projects up their sleeve, a feast for the eyes.
Happy Monday all!

babylonstoren
I just might have found the most perfect vacation getaway. Located in South Africa, Babylonstoren is everything an outdoorsy person can possibly want. Beautiful scenery {check}, dreamy interior {double check}, relaxing and calm {check}! As if that wasn't enough, outdoor picnics, photgraphing the scenic views, wine tasting, antique shopping, and birdwatching is just some of the wonderful things you can do there (and no I'm not paid to endorse this place). I just can't express enough how much I love and appreciate the beauty that lies in Babylonstoren. All of a sudden I have a need for a white tile wall with a cow on it.

happy chinese new year + red
Happy Chinese New Year Everyone!
This is a big celebration in the Chinese culture (kind of like Christmas + New Year for Americans). We cleaned our houses and bought flowers/plants and lots of food. So in honor of the New Year, I'm showcasing some reds which is a lucky color in the Chinese culture, hint: red envelopes.

books, books, and more books
Check out The New Stuttgart City Library in Germany, talk about a spectacle! I never imaged a library to look so cool.
